Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd., a Mini Ratna Category-I PSE under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, GOI has announced an important leadership change at the Board level. Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri, who currently holds the position of Director [Service Businesses], has taken over as Chairman & Managing Director (Additional Charge) of the Company, with effect from 1st July 2024. He succeeds Mr. Adika Ratna Sekhar, who superannuated on 30th June 2024.
Mr. Adhip Nath Palchaudhuri has been serving as a Wholetime Director on the Board of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. from 1st March 2020. As Director [Service Businesses], Mr. Palchaudhuri oversees the Logistics (Infrastructure, Services & Cold Chain) and Travel & Vacations businesses of the Company. He serves on the Board of Vishakhapatnam Port Logistics Park Limited – a Joint Venture between Balmer Lawrie and Vishakhapatnam Port Authority – and is also currently driving the Balmer Lawrie Start-up Fund initiative in the Company. He is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of corporate experience. He joined Balmer Lawrie in 2012 to lead the ERP implementation across the organisation and subsequently moved to Balmer Lawrie’s largest manufacturing SBU to lead its Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain Management functions. Prior to joining Balmer Lawrie, he has worked with a wide variety of reputed organisations in the IT Services / Consulting sector in India and abroad. He holds a B.E (E&C) from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee) and a PGDM from IIM Lucknow. He is a PMP and a CISA and is recognized as a Registered Corporate Coach by Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC).
